But Dice Mimics is a bit different. Dice Mimics isn’t a standalone game, it’s a set of miniatures, with stats to use them in multiple gaming systems. Or you can simply paint them like our very own Paint Slinger, Jaymz, did.
So far they have arranged Monster Stats for four different game systems: D&D Fith Edition, Pathfinder Second Edition, EverWyrd, and The Dungeneer’s Guide. If the campaign goes exceptionally well, who knows what other systems could be added.
The pledge levels are simple enough. There’s only two non-commercial options. $6 (USD) gets you the STL files to 3D print your own models, plus all of those monster stats in PDF form. Or, for $22 you’ll pick up all seven physical models, the STL files, and a mix of printed and PDF stats.
At the end of this Spotlight, you can watch the whole playlist of Slinging Paint episodes featuring an Unboxing, the D20 Flaming DieBone and D6 Gelatonous Die. (Please consider subscribing to the channel while you are there, we have been increasing our video content and you don’t want to miss out. Do you?)
These figures are a great deal, no matter what you want to use them for. You can back the Dice Mimics on Kickstarter until February 24, 2021.
